Cookie Policy

How we use cookies and similar technologies on this website, what they do, and how you can control them.

Last updated: May 21, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we set on the Beusoft Technologies website, what each one does, and how you can accept, block or delete them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. The next time you visit the same site, your browser sends the cookie back, which lets the site recognise you across page-loads — for example, to remember you opened the cookie banner, to count unique visitors, or to keep you logged in. "Similar technologies" includes things like localStorage, session storage and tracking pixels, which behave like cookies for these purposes.

2. The cookies we set

We aim to use the smallest reasonable set of cookies. Today the site uses cookies in three categories:

CookiePurposeTypeDuration
bsv_visitor_idAnonymous identifier we use to count unique visitors to blog posts and free tools and to de-duplicate view counts within a 30-minute window. Not linked to any personal data.Strictly necessary (analytics)12 months
PHPSESSIDStandard PHP session cookie. Used to keep an admin session signed in and to maintain CSRF tokens. Has no effect for public visitors who do not log in.Strictly necessaryBrowser session
Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*)If a Google Analytics measurement ID is configured by the site operator, Google Analytics sets cookies to measure aggregate, anonymised traffic. Set only when GA is enabled.AnalyticsUp to 2 years
Google AdSense cookiesWhen AdSense is enabled by the site operator, Google may set cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where consent is given. Set only when AdSense is enabled.AdvertisingVaries (set by Google)

We do not currently use third-party social-media tracking cookies, retargeting cookies (outside of AdSense if enabled), or chat-widget cookies.

3. Why we use them

We use the strictly-necessary cookies to make the site work — to remember that a single visitor is the same person across pages so our view counters are not wildly inflated, and to support the admin login.

If the site operator has switched on Google Analytics or AdSense, those services set their own cookies to give us aggregate traffic data and (in the case of AdSense) to fund the free tools through advertising. You can identify whether GA/AdSense are active on your visit by inspecting the cookies in your browser, or by looking for the AdSense script in the page source.

4. How to control cookies

You can control cookies in the following ways:

  • Browser settings. Every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies on a per-site basis. See the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Blocking all cookies will affect any site\'s ability to remember you, including ours.
  • Google\'s ad personalisation controls. If you object to personalised ads served by AdSense, you can opt out at adssettings.google.com.
  • Google Analytics opt-out. If you would rather not be counted by Google Analytics on any site, install the official opt-out browser add-on.
  • Do Not Track. Most browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. We honour DNT for our own analytics by treating DNT visitors as unique-only (no per-visit counter increment). Third-party services like Google decide independently whether to honour DNT.

5. Free Tools and cookies

Our free Tools (PDF utilities, AI Blog Writer, Text Humanizer, SEO Analyzer) do not set additional tracking cookies on top of the strictly-necessary ones above. The files and text you process inside those Tools are not associated with your visitor identifier and are not stored on our servers.

6. Changes to this Cookie Policy

If we add or remove cookies, we will update this page and adjust the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage or in a banner for a reasonable period.

7. Contact
